Do you know what is the most advanced technology you ever laid your eyes on, self-repairing, self-replicating, performs complex reactions giving you the most complex of products from the simplest feed. Yes, it is the humble cell. The limitless potential in cells inspires me to work in the fields of Synthetic Biology and Bioprocess development. I am a MITACS summer intern, pursuing 3rd year Chemical engineering at Institute of Chemical Technology. I am working on modelling microbial growth in bioreactors and plastic-biofilm interactions under Dr. Yang. This will help in understanding enzymatic plastic degradation and contribute in process development for large-scale plastic degradation. Apart from science, I like to draw, play badminton and read mystery and fantasy novels.
